Immersive Art Exhibit
Date:
2022
This theoretical museum exhibition in the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston showcases "Composition IX" by Wassily Kandinsky, c. 1936. Catering to visitors with all ability levels, this exhibit allows everyone to experience Kandinsky's art. Not only will the actual painting be on display, but a tactile version will be as well, allowing those with limited sight abilities to actually feel the art. Acrylic lamps with the form of shapes from the painting cast shadows in the space, as many people with limited sight ability can see shadows. Playing over a speaker will be the music Kandinksy listened to while painting. To accomodate for those that experience hearing loss, a new technology will be featured. This technology allows users to feel the vibrations of the music, and therefore experience what those with hearing can.
