Urban Loft

This project is an additional dwelling unit in the backyard of a San Francisco townhouse. The ADU was required to included an independent entry from the main home, an independent bathroom, and an independent kitchenette. Serving as a tiny house for the family's son home from grad school due to COVID-19, the maximum occupancy load is 2 persons. With limited space for storage, I built a custom shelving unit underneath the stairs to the loft. In the loft, with no space for a dresser, I built custom storage into the railing.
